About Us – Our Band Origin Story
Conceived in January 2022 on the dream of a rock band – It all started with an advert, a web conversation and from there a quick meet up between 3 like minded souls in a fast food restaurant.
Devon’s Finest Rock Band
Our 5 members have a diverse range of talent that has been honed individually over many years – everything from playing European tours and fulfilling cruise ship contracts alike, right through to being part of the Devon (and wider UK) music scene for nearly 30 years.
We reside in South Devon and gig throughout Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Bristol & Dorset with our own brand of hard and edgy indie, funk, soul and rock music.

Meet Our Rock Band
A Rock Band is only as strong as the sum of its parts.
Here is where you can meet the band members, read a little about what we do and find out and likewise, how we got to this point in our musical careers.
The past doesn’t define the future however, and it’s always nice to know a bit about who you’re listening to.
JJ – Vox
An vocalist with years of varied experience.
Dragged out of early retirement after being headhunted and kidnapped by The Headrush.
Be sure to catch our live shows to hear her voice in full effect.
From AD/DC to Pink, and from Stevie Wonder to Alanis Morrisette and all sorts in between, she can sing it all.
We present you JJ.
HRVY – Hybrid Guitar
Picked up a guitar one summer whilst bored and has never looked back.
A lover of Techno, Dubstep, Drum n’ Bass, weird sound FX and does research using Ai.
An aggressive playing style and goes through strings and plectrums like they are going out of fashion.
Makes up most of his guitar parts on the night of the gig – true story.
Happy hiding at the back of our line up, making weird guitar noises and looking buff.
Toby – Lead Guitar
Toby has been playing since he was 14.
He has studied guitar and music theory at Brighton Institute of Modern Music.
When he isn’t out gigging with us, he is working with supercars.
He love’s all sorts of music from classic Rock, spandex Rock, hair Rock and many other types of Rock.
Basically, if he isn’t working or “missing”, then he has a guitar in his hands – it is agreed by all, that he owns far to many of them.
Daz – Bass
Previously playing in renown bands over the years has given BassMan Daz the skills to deliver exactly what a song needs.
“Thwack, Chug & Pop”
Adding his “non-Fender” groove to The Headrush line up and making the songs complete with that rumbling low-end loveliness.
He also has a love of Rage Against The Machine (no, we don’t play any of their songs) as can be attested to by anyone that has heard us sound check recently.
Ian – Drummer
Anyone having seen him live will testify to this… Ian is LOUD…
One of the most energetic and hardest hitters on the local scene.
…and the band (gradually going deaf) can confirm this and also of his love of gammon.
Over 25 years of live performances from national and local gigs, to playing on cruise ships and at festivals.
